psychoTherapy for those suffering with chronic pain.

Offering evidence-based talk therapy and lifestyle interventions to help people suffer less and regain control of their lives.

Pain is Bio-Psycho-Social:

The experience of physical pain is not just physical. It is also influenced by other factors. Pain is a BIO-PSYCHO-SOCIAL phenomenon meaning it is affected by biological factors like the physical injury and inflammation but also by psychological and social factors like emotions, beliefs, thoughts and relationships.

Learning about the science of pain and engaging in psychotherapy specific to pain can help by turning down the volume of both the pain and the suffering.

Psychotherapy for pain can help the psychological and social aspects of the pain experience. Quality of life can be improved by changing the way we understand, think about and interact with pain and by finding healthy coping strategies.

I offer both virtual and in person visits. In person visits will happen at Ellis Park Medical, 1959 Bloor St W, Toronto, Ontario

Caley Bell-Pasht, RP(Q), DC

I am a psychotherapist (qualifying) who specializes in the area of chronic pain and illness. I have 15 years of experience working with people suffering from chronic pain. Psychotherapy is a second career for me. After 13 years as a practicing chiropractor I retrained so that I could better help those suffering from complex and chronic pain.

I use evidence-based talk therapy and lifestyle interventions like pain science education, nervous system modulation, pain reprocessing therapy (PRT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to help people suffer less and regain control of their lives.

I am trauma informed and welcome members of the LGBTQ2+ as well as the neurodivergent communities.

I am currently accepting new patients.
