A trauma-informed psychoTherapist specializing in the intersection of mental and physical health. offering evidence-based, focused, psychological support for those suffering with chronic pain and chronic illness.

Pain is Bio-Psycho-Social:

The experience of physical pain is not just physical. It is also influenced by other factors. Pain is a BIO-PSYCHO-SOCIAL phenomenon meaning it is affected by biological factors like the physical injury and inflammation but also by psychological and social factors like emotions, beliefs, thoughts and relationships.

Learning about the science of pain and engaging in psychotherapy specific to pain can help by turning down the volume of both the pain and the suffering.

Psychotherapy for pain can help the psychological and social aspects of the pain experience. Quality of life can be improved by changing the way we understand, think about and interact with pain and by finding healthy coping strategies.
